How it all began...

Our Founder Mr. Hemanchandra Mathure, after completing his M.Sc in physical chemistry from Institute of Science, joined the Indian Government Mint as a physical Chemist to study the development of precious metals such as Gold, Silver, etc. After realizing his passion for metallurgy, he went to London on a Scholarship to study it. In the year 1963, he started working on Brazing Alloys & by 1967 he had established himself as a renowned researcher in the field of Brazing & Welding Technologies. He also published many papers during his research years on the topic of Brazing.

In 1972, he established a manufacturing unit called, “MATHURE METAL WORKS”, which produced Brazing & Soldering Fluxes. As the company grew, Mr. Mathure started to delve more into metallurgy and started to manufacture Welding Electrodes, Brazing Alloys & Soldering Alloys.

In 1991, Mr. Sumant Mathure, after completing his M.Phil. Degree in Metallurgy and specializing in Diffusion of precious metals such as silver, gold, and a core requirement of Brazing Metallurgy, from “Dundee Institute of Technology”, Dundee, Scotland, U.K, joined his father's business. The Mathure Group expanded, with Mathure Metal Works becoming a private limited and with the addition of “MATHURE FLUXES”. With this expansion, new products were born, which were “NON-CFC” compatible during that time, for Green Earth – Eco-friendly products, this was unheard of in India & Whirlpool, Godrej followed by LG were amongst the first to use these products for their R134a – Non-CFC Refrigerants.

Today Mathure Group has many new Innovative products such as multifold & single fold rings, Flux coated rods, Flux core rods, Gas fluxing units, R134a compatible Brazing alloys & fluxes, RoHS compliant Brazing fluxes & alloys, Solder alloy melting below boiling temp of water (Alloy melting at 75C), Brazing alloys powders and pastes etc.

We also offer various Brazing and Soldering Alloys & Fluxes along with consultancy & training to brazer, Certification & alloy / joint designing for the benefit of our customers. We also deal in HYDRO TORCH, “JALAGNI” a torch which is very economical, user-friendly, generates no pollution, doesn't require fossil fuel, etc.

As it is said, “People are known by the Company they keep,” we are known by our clients & our major clients as of now are Whirlpool, LG, Godrej, Tecumseh, Videocon, Sandvik Asia, Philips, Bharat Bijli, Voltas, Blue Star, Carrier, Kirloskar, Emerson, Tata, Mahindra, Maruti - Suzuki, Bajaj, & Government organizations such as Central Railway, Western Railway, BARC etc.
